Hi everyone (this is the very first post, so everyone is quite the stretch). I have been writing for about three years, previous to that I'd only read others works, but plenty of it. Mostly scifi and fantasy, with a little Stephen King and John Sandford in there as well. Once I decided to take a whack at writing, I discovered that not paying attention in school was a huge mistake, especially now that I intend to take storytelling seriously. Oh well. There's no shortage of references and materials to help me make up the difference, and that's why I'm here. Please feel free to critique any of my submissions, though if you're going to be mean, make it a pm.  I will be more than happy to look at a story upon request, but keep in mind it will be from a reader's perspective, as I hardly have the qualifications for a thorough dissection of your work. Hi guys, my real name is Paddy, been writing since about the age of 13 (21 now). I guess i write because my imagination forces me to. Apparently as a kid I was the last to give up my toys because i was always creating epic battle fields out of my bedroom floor with them. Its a little weird but that's what got me into writing. As i got older my ideas got more sophisticated and writing stories felt like a natural progression.
I've always felt like my creativity and concepts top my technical ability so im hoping to improve on the latter eventually. I don't get much writing done though- i have a full time job and a family and can't seem to stay patient with a pen in my hand. Something else i need to work on :-P.
I love post apocalyptic stuff (when will they make that its own genre <_<) and i love zombie stuff , so combining the two was pretty obvious. Looking forward to seeing what everyone has to offer and to what Flappy can pull out of his arse :-)

I'm Eoin, Irish, 17, mainly writing for school, but I did do a few chapters in different stories(Let's never mention them again...), hoping someone might be able to push me into writing more(After June, exam year). I love reading. I've read Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, a lot of Tolkien's books,(The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales), Darren Shan, Anthony Horowitz, Eoin Colfer(He has my name!  ), Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, some Chris Ryan books.... Harry Potter.... Robert Muchamore... Garth Nix... Inheritance Cycle(That ended terribly D:<)... Leon Uris... I'm gonna summarize, and say a lot. @_@ |

Though nitemarez is my forum name, I will also respond to: Jon, Dizzy, Staggerlee, Faceless and (my favorite), "heartless, soulless, asshole".
I write because, for all the frustration it causes, it's incredibly fun and rewarding. I live for the feeling of getting that next chapter edited and posted, it's simply amazing.
Coming from the Dead Frontier forum, my first ventures into writing lengthy pieces were set in zombie apocalypse, and it will always hold a place in my heart. Over the years I have developed a better sense of my own voice, and my personal style. I still have a ways to go, as a writer's learning is never finished, but I am eager to learn and adapt.
Keep and eye out for the beginnings of a experimental piece I am writing titled "Where Angels Fear to Tread". This story is in the works to help my character building skills.
Also, apparently I'm a moderator so that's cool. Hope to see a lot more people around this forum!

Considering my computer skills it's amazing I've made it this far (I get them from my mother). I began writing quite late and started with a short story called Fallen Angel for a writing contest on the Dead Frontier forum.
My little brother introduced me to DF as a way of killing time while traveling and discouraging creepy guys from trying to talk to me because It looked like I was working : )
Fallen Angel grew into City of Angels, 34 chapters and over 75.000 words. Although its set in a zombie apocalypse I keep forgetting to kill zombies and it can be a bit girly in places.
And Yay! I'm a mod ... I think.

Actually, I get that alias from my Call of Duty 4 days where I went by the name of FaceLess Justice. And would that fantasy series happen to be War Hammer (or it's 40K counterpart?)
